Although we started with a slight hiccup, the tour went on to become a really good one. The hiccup happened with the pickup where the tour company failed to get us from the hotel as requested on the app. But once they realized the issue, a pickup car was sent to get us from the hotel to the waterfall. But then after that everything was flawless. Stunning view of the La Fortuna waterfall to the arenal volcano hike… luckily we didn’t experience much rain after the waterfall hike, which went in our favor. The guides would stop all along the way to give a detailed description of the different plants and trees
We had a great time on this hike. It was challenging but not too difficult. Sneakers were fine for walking. Raul our guide was fun, knowledgeable and provided many interesting factors and stories. Lunch was delicious. We ended up completing the itinerary for the day which included the Arenal observatory and a hot spring swim. We had not booked this part but enjoyed it and were pleased to do it. We would highly recommend Raul as a guide and this outfit. Our drive was great, transporting us to the various stops as well as picking us up and dropping us off at our hotel. He also had stories about the history of the area as well.
